Etymologie
Laxus (= breit); clathrus (= gestreift), bezieht sich auf die breiteren vertikalen Streifen am Schwanzstiel im Vergleich zu Homatula berezowskii, Homatula longidorsalis und Homatula variegata. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)

China: Einzugsgebiet des Weihe-Flusses, Einzugsgebiet des Gelben Flusses, Provinz Shanxi.
