Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren des westaustralischen Autors und Kimberley-Naturschützers Tim Winton, dessen viele Romane die Liebe zum Fisch und zur australischen Landschaft vertreten.
Verbreitung
Australien: Einzugsgebieten des Prince Regent und des Roe Rivers.
