Syntypen: BMNH 1867.8.24.3-5 (3).
Typusfundort: Vor den Hebriden, Nordatlantik, Tiefe 80-90 Faden.
Etymologie

Verbreitung
Ostatlantik: Südwest Island und Foldenfjord, Norwegen bis Bretagne und Keltische See, ohne südliche Nordsee. Der Bericht von Banyuls im westlichen Mittelmeer dürfte Buenia affinis sein.
