Typusfundort: Bernal Creek nähe Honda, Kolumbien, 5°12'14.89"N, 74°45'44.32"W (Karte), 455 m Höhe.

Kolumbien: Magdalena, San Jorge, Ranchería und karibische Becken.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 18.05.2018: LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Grund für die Gefährdungseinstufung: In den Küstengewässern kommt es zu Habitatsverlusten durch Viehhaltung.
