Etymologie
-oides (= mit der Form von:) Trigla, Gattung der Knurrhähne (Triglioidei: Triglidae), Anspielung nicht erklärt, vermutlich auf das knurrhahnähnliches Aussehen bezogen. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Südlicher Ozean; südöstlicher Pazifik, südwestlicher Atlantik: Feuerland (Chile).
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 4.10.2022:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Es wird nicht davon ausgegangen, dass der Beifang durch die Fischerei zu einem Rückgang auf globaler Ebene führt, der sich der Bedrohung annähert.
