Etymologie
Exo- (= aus, d.h. außen); megas (= groß), vermutlich auf die Zähne von Exomegas macrostomus bezogen, in einer konzentrischen Reihe angeordnet sind, wobei die äußere Reihe die größten Zähne enthält. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
