Gefahren für diese Art: Die Aufstauung des Susquehanna River reduzierte das Vorkommensgebiet. Der letzte bekannte von dieser Art bewohnte Ort befindet sich in einem Gebiet mit verschlechterter Wasserqualität, das durch landwirtschaftliche Abflüsse beeinträchtigt wird.
