Etymologie
Benannt nach der Typuslokalität, dem Uphapee Creek.
Verbreitung
USA (Alabama): beschränkt auf mehrere kleine, unzusammenhängende Populationen im Coosa- und Tallapoosa-Becken im östlichen Alabama, im nordwestlichen Georgia und im äußersten Südosten von Tennessee.
