Typen
Holotypus: ZSIF 12113/2.
Typusfundort: Visakhapatnam Fischerhafen (tatsächlicher Fangort ist nicht bekannt), Andhra Pradesh, Indien.
Etymologie
Das lateinische Wort propinquus (= wie, entspricht, nahe, ähnlich, verbündet). Die Art ähnelt in Färbung und Zahnmuster einigen Anarchias Arten, deshalb der Name.
Verbreitung
Die Art ist derzeit nur vom Holotypus bekannt, der entlang der Andhra Pradesh Küste von Indien in der Bucht von Bengalen gefangen wurde.
