Westlicher Zentralatlantik: Südflorida (einschließlich Golfküste) in den USA und auf den Bahamas bis Curaçao und Panama.

Status: Stand 1.07.2019:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Diese Art ist nur mit Röhrenschwämmen assoziiert und daher anfällig für den Verlust dieses Lebensraums.
