Etymologie
Di- (= zwei); eretmon (= Ruder oder Paddel), bezieht sich vermutlich auf knöcherne Anhängsel an der Wurzel der Bauchflossen, "die in ihrer Form den Flügeln einiger Insekten ähneln". (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
