Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren von John G. Hunter (1888-1964), Universität Sydney, Chefbiologe der Hauptbasis an der Adelieküste der Australasiatischen Antarktis-Expedition, wo er viele der Fische fing, die Waite später studierte. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
