Typusfundort: Kleiner Pool unterhalb des Überlaufs des Staudamms in Gorgona, Panamakanal-Zone.

Etymologie

Benannt nach der Typuslokalität, Gorgona in Panama.

Verbreitung

Panama: Sowohl Flüsse die in den Atlantik münden als auch solche, die in den Pazifik münden.
