Typusfundort: Guinea, St. Paul River Einzug, Loh River, bei Gbegnema, 8.7222°N, 8.43675°W (Karte).
Etymologie
Das spezifische Epitheton bezieht sich auf die Präfektur Nzérékoré in Süd-Ost-Guinea.
Verbreitung
Die Art kommt in Flüssen der St. Paul River Einzugs in der gesamten Präfektur Nzérékoré vor. Chiloglanis nrerekore wurde an zahlreichen Ülätzen im oberen St. Paul River Einzug in Guinea gesammelt. Im Jahr 2013 wurde diese Art an der Typuslokalität gesammelt, ein ca. 20 m breiter Strom mit mäßiger Strömung, entlang eines kurzen Ufers mit exponierten fasrigen Baumwurzeln. Diese Art könnte auch in ähnlichen Lebensräumen des St. Paul River Einzugs in Liberia auftreten.
