Typusfundort: vor der Küste von Ayeyarwady, Myanmar, Andamanensee, Indischer Ozean, 14°30.76'N, 95°47.22'E (Karte), 126–131 m Tiefe.
Etymologie
Flavus (= Gelb); makula (= Fleck), in Bezug auf die charakteristischen gelben Flecken, die die Afterflosse dieser Art bedecken.
Verbreitung
Andamanensee vor der Südostküste von Myanmar in Tiefen von 84–131 m.
