Etymologie
Praeustus (= an der Spitze verbrannt), bezieht sich auf den schwarzen Lappen der zweiten Rückenflosse. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Westlicher Zentralpazifik: östlich bis Indonesien und Philippinen, nördlich bis Nordvietnam.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 31.1.2022:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Obwohl dieser Art nachgestellt wird, wird dies global derzeit nicht als große Bedrohung angesehen.
