Typusfundort: Surinam, Sipalawini, Litanie River and der Mündung und dem Zusammenfluss mit dem Maroni River, kurz stromaufwärts der Siedlung Konya Kondre, 3°17’24”N, 54°04’38”W (Karte).
Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren von Florence de Rapleye Foerderer (1926-1999), deren Testament der Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia, dem Philadelphia Zoo und der Gallaudet University, einem College der freien Künste für gehörlose und schwerhörige Studenten, jeweils 7 Millionen US-Dollar gewährt. Florence hegte eine große Liebe zu Tieren und ihr großzügiges Vermächtnis setzte die lange Geschichte des bürgerlichen Engagements und der Philanthropie der Familie Foerderer in der Gegend von Philadelphia fort.
Verbreitung
Surinam und Französisch-Guayana: bekannt aus den Becken der Flüsse Maroni, Mana und Sinnamary.
