Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren von Jean-Jacques Dussumier (1792-1883), französischer Reisender und Kaufmann, der Typusexemplare in Bombay sammelte und Notizen und Beobachtungen über andere Grundeln lieferte. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Nördlicher Indischer Ozean: Persischer Golf und Oman östlich bis Pakistan. Das Vorkommen in Indien, Indonesien und Mauritius muss überprüft werden; Küste von Mosambik.
