Typusfundort: Südchinesisches Meer, im Süden der Anambas Islands (Indonesien), 02°03'N, 105°37'E (Karte), 73 Meter Tiefe.
Etymologie
Hemi- (= halb); lissos (= nackt), bezieht sich auf das teilweise Fehlen von Schuppen am präkaudalen Teil des Körpers. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
