Etymologie

Benthos (= aus der Tiefe), bezieht sich auf seinen Lebensraum; sema (= eine Sternenkonstellation), Anspielung nicht erklärt, bezieht sich wahrscheinlich auf die Photophoren, von denen man sagen könnte, dass sie hellen Sternen am Himmel ähneln. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
