Etymologie
Benannt nach dem "guten Freund" Cristoforo Bellotti (1823-1919), "einem bescheidenen, aber angesehenen Ichthyologen", der Giglioli Exemplare von Bellottia apoda zur Kenntnis brachte. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
