Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren des "Naturforschers" (und Schweizer Botanikers) Heinrich Zollinger (1818-1859), der Bleeker seine Sammlung von Makassar-Fischen (Indonesien) schenkte, darunter auch diese Art. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
Verbreitung
Sundaland bis Süd-Laos: Mekong- und Chao Phraya-Becken, Malaiische Halbinsel und Indonesien.
IUCN Status
Status: Stand 6.07.2023:LC Least Concern (nicht gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Lebensraumverschlechterung und Umweltverschmutzung in Verbindung mit Rodung und Landumwandlung stellen eine Bedrohung für die Art dar, insbesondere in Gebieten, in denen Palmenplantagen entstehen. Es ist davon auszugehen, dass Populationen in geschützten Gebieten weniger anfällig für diese Bedrohungen sind.
