small bodies of water and shallow weedy parts of larger water bodies, swamps,irrigation ditches in the White Nile drain.in Sudan. The Nile and its delta in Egypt (probably disappear. there due to introduction of Gambusia affinis and pollut.) L.Albert and lower Semliki r.in NE-Zaire. L.Albert, Albert Nile,L.Kyoga, Victoria Nile and L.Victoria drain.in Uganda. L.Victoria, Malagarasi r. and Wembere r.drain. in central Tansania.
