Etymologie

Benannt zu Ehren von Canna Maria Louise Popta (1860-1929), der "unermüdlichen Ichthyologin" des Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie (Leiden, Niederlande), wo sie Kuratorin für Reptilien, Amphibien und Fische war. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
