Typen

Holotypus: MNHN F.EIP10d
Typusfundort und Schicht: In der Nähe von Ilam, Zagros Becken, West Iran. Diese Teleost Fauna ist Teil der Pabdeh Formation, sie war irrtümlich der Kreidezeit zugeordnet worden von Priem (1908), und dem Rupelium (Oligozän) von Arambourg (1943) und Arambourg (1967). Sie ist aber genauer dem mittleren bis späten Eozän zuzuordnen.

Etymologie

Benannt nach der Typuslokalität Ilam.
