Typusfundort und -schicht: Meyers Creek nähe Pentland Hills, Mangaorapan-Heretaungan.

Etymologie

Vom lateinischen broncus (= hervorstehend), bezogen auf die nach vorne geneigte Form des Rückenrandes des Otolithen.

Verbreitung

Mangaorapan-Heretaungan: Neuseeland.
