Typusfundort: Mündung des Zhuan-Flusses, 24°50'24.7"N, 121°49'18.1"E (Karte), Bezirk Yilan, Nordost-Taiwan; 1,5 m Tiefe.
Etymologie
Benannt nach Hades, dem altgriechischen Gott der Unterwelt, in Anspielung auf seinen Lebensraum in trüben Mündungsgewässern, seine hohe Lichtempfindlichkeit und seine einheitlich dunkle Färbung, die an den Gott der Unterwelt erinnert.
Verbreitung
Mittlerer Indopazifik: weit verbreitet in den Flussmündungen von Südjava bis Fidschi und im Norden bis zum Ryukyu-Archipel in Japan.
