Etymologie
Biriwira bedeutet "grün" in der Sprache Chichewa und bezieht sich auf die grünliche Färbung der Männchen in Territorialfärbung.

Malawisee: um die Inseln Mumbo und Otter.

Status: Stand 21.2.2022NT Near Threatened (potenziell gefährdet)
Gefahren für diese Art: Sedimentation ist eine potientielle Gefahr.
