Typusfundort: Pangur Tso and Tso Nyak, Kashmir, Indien.
Etymologie
Benannt nach einem der Typuslokalitäten: Pangur Tso.
Verbreitung
Triplophysa panguri ist bekannt aus dem Hauptfluss des Indus, 60 km entfernt von Leh, in der Nähe der Armeebasis, in Kashmir. Die Art wurde bereits vom Pangur Tso, Tso Nyak, und aus dem Oberlauf des Indus Beckens gemeldet.
