Etymologie
Der Artname mystica (= mystisch), bezieht sich darauf, dass diese Art zuvor unter Thrissina hamiltonii verborgen war.

Nördlicher Indischer Ozean: vom Persischen Golf bis nach Südindien und Sri Lanka.
