Teleosteomorpha ist eine Klade um die Teleostei + ihre Stamm-Taxa (z. B.: Pachycormiformes , Aspidorhynchiformes , Pycnodontiformes ) zu integrieren.
Sferco et al. (2015) halten den Namen Teleosteomorpha für retundant, weil er nur ein Äquivalent bildet zu Teleostei sensu Patterson (1977) oder De Pinna (1996).
