Typen

Holotypus: MRAC RG 7541a; fast komplettes Exemplar, wobei der Schädel in dorsalventraler Richtung erhalten blieb.
Typusfundort und -schicht: Stanleyville-Formation, Stufe 4 (schwarzer, bituminöse Schiefer), Mekombi-Fluss, 50 km südöstlich von Kisangani, Demokratische Republik Kongo.
