Typen
Holotypus: UFRJ 6500.
Typusfundort: Brasilien, Bundesstaat Mato Grosso, sumpfige Überschwemmungsgebiete des Buriti, in der Nähe der Straße MT-249 und der Stadt Arenapolis, nahe dem rio Santana, oberes Río Paraguay-Becken, 14°27'06"S, 56°49'00"W.
Etymologie
Der Artname bororo bezieht sich auf den Namen eines indigenen Stammes (Macro-Jê-Gruppe), welcher früher ein riesiges Gebiet im Paraguay-Becken Zentralbrasiliens bewohnte.
Verbreitung
Nur vom Typusfundort bekannt.
