Etymologie

Benannt nach Mr. Toshihiko Yonezawa, der den Autoren viele Informationen und Exemplare für ihre Studie beisteuerte.

Verbreitung

Japan, Ryukyu Inseln, in den Oberläufen von Bergbächen der Inseln Tanega-shima und Yaku-shima der Osumi-Gruppe, der Insel Amami-oshima der Amami-Gruppe und der Insel Okinawa-jima der Okinawa-Gruppe. Eine anadrome Art, von der es einen Binnenpopulation auf der Insel Okinawa-jima gibt.
