Etymologie

Benannt nach Victor Pavlovich Vasil’ev (23. Oktober 1943 – 13. Januar 2024), einem führenden Spezialisten auf dem Gebiet der evolutionären Karyologie von Fischen und Problemen der netzartigen und polyploiden Evolution bei Wirbeltieren, der einen großen Beitrag zur Entwicklung der Theorie der Artbildung und Taxonomie mehrerer Fischgruppen leistete, darunter auch der Grundeln (Gobiidae) der Kaukasusregion.

Verbreitung

Georgien und Abchasien: Flüsse und Seen der nordöstlichen Küste des Schwarzen Meeres: in den Flüssen Chorokhi Kintrishi, Mchishta und in den Seen Kakhaberi und Inkiti.
