Benannt zu Ehren von John Richard Paxton (geb. 1938), Australian Museum (Sydney), für seine zahlreichen Beiträge zur Erforschung mesopelagischer Fische und für seine Ermutigung der Autoren. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
