Etymologie
Benannt nach Dr. John E. McCosker, California Academy of Sciences, der alle Typusexemplare der Art gesammelt und sie freundlicher Weise zur Verfügung gestellt hat..
Verbreitung
Bisher nur von den Typusexemplaren bekannt, die von Darwin Island, Galápagos Inseln, Ecuador, Ostpazifik, gesammelt worden sind.
