Typusfundort: Queensland, Australia, E. of Dunk Island, 18°0'S, 147°4'E (Karte), aus 260 m Tiefe.
Etymologie
Vom lateinischen hastatus (= speerförmig), in Anspielung auf die Lanzett-ähnliche Schwanzflosse.
