Etymologie
Oligos (= spärlich oder wenige); arcus (= gebeugt), Anspielung weder erklärt noch offensichtlich, möglicherweise in Bezug auf die „zusammengedrückte, längliche“ Form von Oligosarcus argenteus. (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project)
