Typen
Holotypus: MRAC 79-07-P-144.
Typusfundort: Tansania, großer Tümpel in der Nähe von Nsuyanga (Sonyanga), etwa 50 km östlich von Mbeya, an der Starße von Zambia nach Morogoro.
Etymologie
Benannt nach der Usangu Ebene, das Vorkommensgebiet der Art.
Verbreitung
Temporäre Tümpel in der Usangu Ebene, Großes Ruahu-Flusssystem, Tansania.
