Typusfundort: Tansania, Distrikt Morogoro, Sumpfteich ca. 7 km von Kimamba in Richtung Kilosa, 6°46'30"S, 37°12'30"E (Karte), etwa 425 m ü.d.M.
Etymologie
Von pro (= vor); gnathus (= Kiefer), bezieht sich auf ausgeprägtes Unterkiefer, der nach vorne etwas über den Oberkiefer hinaus ragt.
Verbreitung
Ost-Tansania, Gebiet des Tendigo Sumpfes, Überflutungsgebiet des Mkata Rivers, oberes Wami Becken.
