Etymologie
Von pro (= vor); gnathus (= Kiefer), bezieht sich auf ausgeprägtes Unterkiefer, der nach vorne etwas über den Oberkiefer hinaus ragt.
Verbreitung
Ost-Tansania, Gebiet des Tendigo Sumpfes, Überflutungsgebiet des Mkata Rivers, oberes Wami Becken.
