Typusfundort: Thein Lin Chaung im Dorf Thein Lin, östlich von Bhamo, Staat Kachin, Myanmar, 24°11'1"N, 97°15'30"E (Karte).
Etymologie
Celator (= soviel wie Verstecker), in Anspielung auf die große Ähnlichkeit mit (und die Verwechslung mit) Mystus pulcher verwendet.
Verbreitung
Myanmar: mittleres Einzugsgebiet des Irrawaddy (flussaufwärts von Mandalay).
