Grund für die Gefährdungseinstufung: Der Lebensraum in der Typuslokalität wird von der Entwicklung als relativ unbeeinträchtigt angesehen. Die Art wandert in Flüssen und Bächen stromaufwärts, um sich zu vermehren, und kann durch Staudämme und andere Flussblockaden beeinträchtigt werden.
