Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren der Ichthyologin Antonia Amaral Campos, Departmento de Zoologia da Secretaria da Agricultuea do Estado se São Paulo, die das Typusexemplar sammelte [ursprünglich wurde diese Art als Eremophilus camposi benannt, da der Name eine Frau ehrt, spiegelt camposae das richtige Geschlecht wider]. Gefahren für diese Art: Das Becken des Rio Ribeira do Iguape ist ein stark betroffenes Habitat, in dem weniger als 5% des ursprünglichen Waldes intakt sind. Die Art kommt nur in sehr spezifischen und seltenen Lebensraumtypen vor.
