Etymologie
Benannt zu Ehren von Wilson J. E. M. Costa, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, für bedeutende Beiträge zur neotropischen Ichthyologie, einschließlich der Untersuchung von Schmerlenwelsen.
