Etymologie
Patronym nicht identifiziert, wahrscheinlich zu Ehren des Arztes und Naturforschers James C. Cox (1834-1912), der eine Schlange sammelte, die Krefft in einem begleitenden Artikel beschrieb, und der ein Treuhänder des Sydney (jetzt Australian) Museum war, wo Krefft arbeitete. Verbreitung
Ostaustralien: nördliches New South Wales südlich bis östliches Victoria.
