Etymologie
Zonale (= gebändert), bezogen auf "breites braunes Seitenband [gewöhnlich eine Reihe unverbundener Flecken], von dem acht schmalere Bändern ausgehen, die den Bauch mehr oder weniger vollständig umschließen", wobei diese Bänder bei brütenden Männchen hellgrün sind.
