Typen
Holotypus: NMW (Aufbewahrungsort unbekannt). Paratypen: NMW (4, Aufbewahrungsort unbekannt).
Typusfundort: Gabun, Einzugsgebiet des Woleu/Rio Benito-Systems, unbenannter Bach 6 km südlich von Bibasse, an der Nationalstraße N2 von Oyem nach Mitic (Fundort „GWW 86/20“).
Etymologie
kalli-, schön; pterus, Flosse; sich vermutlich auf Flossen von männlichen Tieren beziehend, mit zahlreichen gelbgoldenen Flecken auf der Rücken- und oberen Schwanzflosse und bläulich-silbernen Punkten auf der After- und dem größten Teil der Schwanzflosse mit leuchtend orangefarbenen Brustflossen und tiefgelben Bauchflossen (Übersetzt aus: The ETYFish Project).
