Etymologie
Sardella (= sprachliche Verkleinerungsform von Sardine), bezogen auf Sardellen-ähnliche Form und Färbung (und vermutlich auch ihr Schwarmverhalten und Ernährung von Zooplankton). (Übersetzt aus The ETYFish Project)
